When you are making preparations for your travel destination and the area, country or location is not familiar to you, then it is important that you learn as much as you can about the area before you actually finalize your trip. There have been incidents of tourist who have encountered robbery or rape during their travels and this can be an unpleasant experience. 1. Avoid putting your home address on your baggage tag. List the address of a business or ask the travel agent if you can use their address in case your luggage gets lost, but only if you know someone who is working there.
