To get the best out of your travel plans, you have to be prepared for your travel. Know enough about other people’s experience with different airlines. You may have a different experience, but nine times out of ten if there are enough people complaining about an airline, it is probably true.

You want to also prepare for your trip at least a week in advance. What I mean by that is to start your packing. You may ask, “Why do I have to start so soon?” Well, for one, you don’t want to forget anything for your trip. If you have to go out and purchase anything, you want to at least know before the day of your trip. You also need to know how much your luggage weighs. The airlines charge for anything over 50 pounds, so make sure you have a scale to weigh your luggage before that day of the trip. Read more »

Hotels offer additional information on how women can keep safe. Ask questions when you check in to a hotel. If you feel vulnerable when traveling, then it may be good for you to arrange your travel with someone else.

While you are checking in be sure to ask for a room that is located near a well lit area. This will help you to feel safer when entering the room at night. How to be comfortable when traveling

If you travel often, you do know how uncomfortable it is to travel. You have to deal with check-ins, checkpoints, boarding, flying, landing, and baggage claim and then wait for someone to pick you up. If you are like me, I love to travel, but hate the hassle. The part that I don’t like most is waiting for that dreaded landing. You also have to contend with the person who is sitting beside you if you are traveling alone.

Some air planes don’t have enough leg room, no complimentary food and so many annoying things too many to mention here. I have children, but the worst thing for me is when I am tired and traveling to hear a baby screaming for the entire flight.

Tips to Drive, Fly, or Swim?

When thinking about traveling some considerations should be taken. First you have to think about the distance of your journey and how far you will be going as well as how long. Secondly, research the weather conditions for both arriving and departing from your destinations. For instance, if you are on your way from Florida to California you would not want to take a train during hurricane season, Therefore, the importance of weather and distance are two big factors.

For shorter trips like Georgia to Florida, a train or an automobile can be taken into consideration. When planning a trip using an airline, think about the different airlines to use because some airports have fewer flights and fewer delays than their larger airports. Another tip is always to confirm your reservations in advance just in case, and you should also make sure that you pack light, but always remember the essential items. For example, be extra keen on packing underwear, hygienic items and any medications and put them in your carryon bag, while the rest of your items go in your check in luggage. Read more »

Traveling Light

I have seen people at the airport that don’t have to check any baggage. I always wonder how they could do that when I was checking two bags. The good thing about traveling light with only a carry-on bag is that when the plane does its landing and you get off the airplane, you just go directly to your car and don’t have to contend with the crowd.
When you travel with only a carry-on bag, you are at a better advantage than someone traveling with one or two baggage. You don’t have to worry about the airline sending your packed baggage to Singapore when you have just arrived in California. You can use a carry-on bag that fits enough of your apparel to keep you on your trip instead of carrying nonessential things that you don’t really need.
Pick the essentials like toothbrush, toothpaste, hair brush, deodorant, perfume or cologne, if you use those, makeup, one pair of shoes (you will have the other one on your feet), and your garments per day. You can easily get those to fit in a carry on, if you choose the right things to take with you.
If your travel takes you to a destination where you will stay for more than seven days, then you probably will need to check another bag at the airport. You may have the option of staying at a hotel or choosing a hotel that has a laundry room where you can do your laundry and save on taking any additional pieces of clothing.
Below you will see ten tips on how to pack your carry-on bag for your travel so you can have less problems during your trip.
Packing light for your travels
1. Make sure that your carry-on bag is the right measurement proportion to the requirements made by the airline. It will also force you to only pack the things that you really need for your trip. Read more »
